Charcoal Dog Portrait with April Zay: This video is designed for beginners as well as experienced students looking to learn a little more about charcoal and charcoal pencils. The video will showcase techniques and tips on how to be successful when drawing and shading with charcoal and participants can follow along in creating a dog portrait. Suggested supplies: Generals Charcoal Pencil Kit (Included in the kit- 2b, 4b 6b and white charcoal pencils, and a small kneaded eraser, Blending stumps or Tortillions, Vine charcoal Sticks (Soft OR Medium), Drawing paper: (should be suitable for pencil/charcoal). Optional- Toned Paper- for example Strathmore makes a toned grey paper pad. The video will be available on our Youtube page from February 8 through February 22.
