10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s – Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association. Early diagnosis gives people with Alzheimer's disease the chance to make key decisions about treatment, care and planning and the power to make choices about their own health and future.  This program increases awareness of the benefits of early Alzheimer's detection, provides information about memory loss and normal aging, and Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Halloween: A Haunted History - Presented by Kevin Woyce, Author, Photographer, and Lecturer - Have you ever wondered why at Halloween we carve pumpkins, dress up in costumes, or decorate our homes with skeletons and ghosts? Learn about the history of Halloween, from Old World harvest festivals to our modern family holiday. Along the way, the origins of the Jack-o'lantern, Orson Welles' 1938 "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, the first monster movies, haunted lighthouses and hotels, and much more will be discussed. Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia: The Alzheimer’s Association® has created an education program covering the basics of Alzheimer’s and dementia to provide a general overview for people who are facing a diagnosis as well as those who wish to be informed. Christmas Traditions - In this new, hour-long presentation, Kevin Woyce, author, photographer and Lecturer uses original photographs, vintage images, and live music to explore favorite Christmas Traditions, from the  First Christmas to "A Christmas Carol," "White Christmas," and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. He will also explain how historical figures ranging from Saint Nicholas, Martin Luther, and Queen Victoria to Charles Dickens and Thomas Nast helped shape the way we celebrate the Christmas Season.
