How do I reserve a pass?

Make a reservation in person at the Reference Desk or by telephone at 732-246-3545.

 

Is there a charge to reserve a pass? What is the late fee or replacement fee?

There is no charge to reserve a museum pass. Only one museum pass per household may be checked out at a time. If a pass is not returned on time, a fine of $5.00 per day will be charged, up to a maximum of the cost of the pass.

If a pass is lost, the patron will be charged the full cost of the pass.

 

Who can reserve a pass?

You must have a current North Brunswick Public Library card in good standing to place a reservation. The pass can only be reserved with an adult card. 

 

How many people per pass are admitted to a museum?

It depends on the pass. Each museum has its own admission rules. Click here or check with the Reference Desk at the library for more information.

 

What is “Day of Use?”

“Day of Use” is the day you plan on visiting the museum. 

 

Can I cancel my reservation?

Reservations can be cancelled up to two days before the "Day of Use" by calling the Reference Desk at 732-246-3545,

 

What happens if I do not pick up my pass by the "Day of Use"?

If this occurs, it will constitute as a "no show".  If the reservation is cancelled the day before or on the "Day of Use" it will also be considered a "no show".  Because demand for passes is high, two "no shows" min a 60 day period may result in a 2 month block on pass reservations.

 

Where do I pick up my pass?

The pass may be picked up at the Reference Desk starting at 3:00 PM on the day of pickup.  It may be available earlier.  Please call the library to check on early availability.

 

Do I need my library card to pick up the pass?

Yes, you must present the library card used when reserving the pass.

 

Where do I return my pass? Are passes renewable?

The pass must be returned to the Reference Desk by 1 p.m. after the “Day of Use.” If the library is closed, the pass may be returned into the media drop by the library's front door.

Museum passes are not renewable.

 

Are there any other important details I need to know before I visit any museum?

The user is responsible for any fees or charges not included with the pass (such as parking, surcharges for special exhibit admission, etc.). Remember to check the museum’s website for information about current exhibits and special programs. Always confirm operating hours before visiting, as these are subject to change, and always confirm with a museum regarding reciprocal memberships before visiting, as possible restrictions or policies may apply or change without notice.
