In movies, when characters acknowledge the presence of the audience, that’s called “breaking the fourth wall.” It can be as simple as staring straight into the camera or as elaborate as speaking directly to the audience. Which one is your favorite?
Mockumentary or mock documentary is a genre of film and television, a parody presented as a documentary recording real life. These have become all the rage today!
Although Rom-Coms are a sure way to shake off the Sunday Scaries, there's nothing more warm and fuzzy than a solid musical movie complete with singalongs and dance numbers.
Some movies are so nice they made them twice. The best remakes offer filmakers to take on a unique vision and allow an audience to discover a new appreciation for classic favorites.
WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND
Workers of the world, unite! Okay, maybe radical revolution might be going a bit too far. Instead of taking to the streets, how about sitting back on your couch (after a hard day's work, of course) with a loved one (pet or human) or alone (what do I care?) and taking pleasure in watching other people pick up the slack.
